Starburst is a moving sculpture and practical light source.
The light will actually open like a flower in the morning sunlight, revealing it’s beauty and complexity.
This is achieved using Shape Memory Polymers, which can be deformed when heated, but when cooled return back to their original form. The petals are heated with resistance wire, which can be activated by a subtle touch switch on its stem. Two modes allow for two totally different light dispersions.
